Yes, I love using 3D printers! They are a fantastic way of producing complex shapes really quickly. If you look at how detailed the printers are and imagine how long it would take someone to create it by just hand carving something it is really mindblowing.

I use 3D printers to quickly prove an idea or a concept, to help explain my idea to colleagues or customers.
They are also useful to make shapes that are really challenging to make without complex machining.
