I never knew what I wanted to be growing up, but I knew I enjoyed science at school and understanding how the world works. I studied science then at GCSE and A Level, and went on to do Chemistry at University. After this, I did my doctorate in Engineering which was another 4 years of study until I got the job I’m in now doing science research!
If university isn’t for you though a lot of places offer apprenticeships where you can do on the job training and still work in science.
